Get things moving Smoothie!

This is a wonderful smoothie for pregnancy, postpartum and babies who are being introduced to solids or further down their food journey alike.

Pregnancy is a time when hormones are running rampant. Progesterone increases in early pregnancy and can slow bowel movements down. Not fun. But did you know that the body also does this to allow mumma to absorb more nutrients from food to feed her baby too? How incredible is the female body? Just wow!

For newly postpartum mummas or anyone experiencing digestive issues, try having this smoothie at room temperature. If you have frozen berries thaw them first as cold food can place extra pressure on the digestive system, which isn't what we need when trying to get things moving!

This is a great smoothie option for babies who are new to solids as well. If you do decide to serve to your baby, I highly recommend using this smoothie bottle from Subo. It's a great way to start with small portions and reduce waste. The insert in the bottle allows you to decide how much you want to serve, with no mess! Brilliant.
